AESCHI 10: Affirming the Relevance of Narrative in Contemporary Suicide Assessment & Treatment
May 30 – June 1, 2019
Vail, Colorado
Dr. David Jobes will present: “CAMS as a Framework for Assessment and Treatment”
The “Aeschi” conference is so named for the small number of suicide-prevention researchers who met for the first time twenty years ago in Aeschi, Switzerland to share ideas for improving the therapeutic approach to the suicidal person. This movement is patient-centered and focuses on the patient’s narrative.
The conference was centered around a series of videos illustrating key concepts in narratives, assessment and treatment of patients at risk for suicide. National and international experts acting as teachers and discussants engaged in intimate and probing exchanges about relating Aeschi concepts to the clinical material in the videos.
