The British Psychological Society recently hosted a webinar introducing the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicide (CAMS). This one hour webinar overviews the philosophy and procedures of the CAMS model, focusing on its application in an Adult Mental Health setting. It was designed to introduce those who are unfamiliar with CAMS to the core assessment tool, the Suicide Status Form, and reflect on some of the key issues that arise in working with suicidal people in mental health services. This webinar was presented by Dr. Eoin Galavan a senior CAMS-care consultant, Senior Clinical and Counseling Psychologist and Clinical Lead for the North Dublin Adult Mental Health, Suicide Assessment and Treatment Service.
