Why become CAMS Trained?
Practical structure, clinical flexibility
CAMS provides a defined session framework without restricting your practice. It supports personalised, therapeutic care while giving clinicians a reliable process to follow.
Improved outcomes
Research shows CAMS helps reduce suicidal ideation, distress and emergency care or A&E use in as few as 6–8 sessions. Service users report feeling heard and involved in their care.
Confidence in high-pressure settings
CAMS supports professionals working with suicidal risk in real time – especially those in non-specialist or high-turnover environments.
Evidence-backed and CPD-accredited
CAMS has been studied in seven published RCTs to date, each contributing to the growing evidence base for its safety, effectiveness and adaptability across different populations and care settings. Training is aligned with NHS England’s Staying Safe from Suicide guidance and NICE guidelines. CPD hours apply.
Adaptable across settings
From inpatient units to community services, CAMS integrates into existing systems. You don’t need to overhaul your service to begin using it.
