This training is designed for mental health professionals, counsellors, and frontline staff working in settings where suicide risk is present, including private practice, education, public services, voluntary organisations, and NHS services.

What is included in the training?

When you book as an individual, you will be supported through the full CAMS training journey:

Pre-course reading – Managing Suicidal Risk: A Collaborative Approach (3rd edition)

CAMS Foundational Online Training – Four hours of video content with clinical demonstrations

Live role-play workshop – A one-day session (virtual or in person) to practise applying the model. You will join other individuals on this session.

Supervision – Four structured group calls to discuss your first experiences using CAMS in practice

Your journey to becoming CAMS Trained

  1. Register for a free account on the training platform (no payment required)
  2. Enrol in the CAMS Trained course (payment secures your place)
  3. Complete foundational reading and video materials at your own pace
  4. Register for an interactive role-play session once prerequisites are finished
  5. Book your role-play session
  6. Attend supervision sessions which will be arranged once your role-play session has been completed
